Tickets are now on sale for the 2018 Pig’s Ear Folk Ale. The Kentish Horse Cow Lane Markbeech Edenbridge Kent TN8 5NT “Ale” is a term used in past times by Kentish folk to describe a community celebration and that’s what Folk Ale is – a chance for musicians and fans of acoustic music to get together, sing, play, and listen to great music against a backdrop of beautiful Kent countryside overlooking Ashdown Forest. Join us for concerts, singarounds, open mic, workshops, dancing, a craft fair, real ales and more. This year’s festival headliners include evergreen favourite Richard Digance providing our traditional musical comedy spot, and up and coming bands from the national and local folk scene with Granny’s Attic, Footdown, and Hobo and the Hippies. With old friends such as Jez Lowe, Missouri Gutts, Hartley Morris and the many wonderful Friends of the Folk Ale, the Programme for 2018 lives up to our ambition to make every year the “best ever Pig’s Ear Folk Ale.” Take a look at the Programme Page for more details. Remember you can book for the whole weekend, or for one day, or for a particular concert. This friendly little festival is set in the grounds of a Free House, The Kentish Horse pub at Markbeech. Onsite camping is available.
